Co Hahn is serving up delicious Vietnamese food with a new school feel. You have the option of Vietnamese BBQ (like Korean BBQ where you cook on the grill in the middle of the table) or you can order off the menu. For our feast we tried dishes from the menu.
You cannot visit this place without trying their signature fried chicken. It’s super crispy with a sweet sticky glaze and a little hit of chilli. Super delicious.
With a crispy skin and sweet glaze the tofu skewers had a similar dressing to the fried chicken so it would be a great alternative if you’re vegetarian.
The eggplant bao came in a charcoal bun which made the vibrant pickled veggies like daikon and carrot pop. The eggplant was lightly battered which gave a nice crunch which contrasted the soft eggplant. Then there was a little bit of mayo, little bit of shiso, it was an absolute delight.
The Vietnamese pancake was crisp on the outside and soft in the middle, jam packed with a generous amount of assorted seafood and veggies, cabbage, herbs etc. It came with nuoc mam sauce which was sweet, sour and spicy.
I loved the sticky chargrilled lamb ribs. They were marinated in apple soju soy and the meat was falling off the bone. It was served with an apple slaw which complimented the meat perfectly.
The butterfly tamarind prawns were a great dish. The prawns were mammoth, had a lovely char and were brushed with beautiful tamarind glaze.
For dessert we had the coconut panna cotta which had a lovely smooth texture. It was topped with pandan granita, strawberries and jackfruit which was light and fresh, exactly what we needed since we were already so full. Rolled out of there happy.
I heart Co Hahn!
