Hobba is a great place for brunch. They have something for everyone from smashed avo and burgers to waffles and hotcakes. The dishes have character and are super delish. The decor is pretty with exposed brick walls, high ceilings and cute hanging plants. It’s a big space too so you can bring your large group of friends or big family along for a feast. A great place in Prahran to stop by for coffee and brunch.
They do a lovely latte.
I’m not sure if they still have this dish coz it was a while back when we visited but this was the jalepeno cheesy waffles. I love a savoury waffle and this had the melted cheese throughout and crispy grilled cheese bits on the sides. The jalepenos in the waffles and on the plate offered a good kick of spice. The waffles sat on a smooth avo puree and were topped with a mountain of bacon and grilled asparagus.
The hobba hotcakes are a classic. They are big, light and fluffy. Their maple syrup is house spiced and their mascarpone has a citrus zing. Then there’s the seasonal fresh berries and chunks of honeycomb. So yum, super filling and everything you want when you’re craving a sweet sweet brunch.
They also do events and functions in the space which would be awesome because the food rocks and space is gorgeous.
I heart Hobba!
