Laneway Greens are dishing up healthy and delicious meals so you’re probably going to want to add it to your weekly routine. Laneway Greens have a new summer menu with wholesome bowls and superfood smoothies that will make you salivate. I often have good intentions of making my own nutritious bowls at home but to buy all the ingredients, create a winning combination and then cut the vegetables with finesse so they have that textural perfection in your mouth - gah I’m tired just thinking about it. Laneway Greens have perfected their bowls so you don’t have to do the work at home. Healthy lunch or dinner – sorted.
We started with the roasted salmon which was delicious. It had torn pieces of cooked salmon with spinach, apple, carrot, sugar snap peas, pink radish, chives, parsley, seeded mustard vinaigrette, sunflower seeds on top. So much freshness against that oily fish was a winning combination.
The grilled free-range chicken was super tender and moist with a herby pesto on top, sliced spring onion, cucumber, tomato and charred corn on the cob.
The house made falafels were super crispy and full of flavour. It had a good amount of hummus with cucumber, spinach, cherry tomatoes, roasted cauliflower, fermented vegetables, spinach, quinoa, sesame seeds and a creamy tahini dressing over the top.
The satay sauce on the tempeh had a lovely peanut flavour and was served with roasted cauliflower, thinly sliced cucumber, spinach, tomato and pink radish.
I loved the braised Cape Grimm beef it was sliced thin and had a sweet soy flavour. It was served over a bed of brown rice and had a slow cooked egg on top with fresh red chilli. There were finely sliced sugar snap peas for crunch, spring onion, broccolini, bok choy, sesame seeds and soya sesame dressing.
For something sweet we had the greens and summer fruits pot which was like a green acai bowl but without the acai. It was a chilled super greens blend with alfalfa grass, barley grass, wheatgrass, oat grass, spirulina, chlorella and kale, coconut yoghurt, banana, coconut water and passion fruit coulis. It had pieces of fresh mango, blueberries and house-made granola on top for added crunch. It was light and refreshing - summer in a pot.
I heart Laneway Greens!
