As you walk into the store, you are greeted with mountains of cheese behind a glass panel and all you can do is drool. Once you are seated and have a second to catch your breath you take a look at the menu and ask yourself what the hell do you order in cheese heaven? Cheese, perhaps? But which cheese is the question. If you’re a fromagerie frequenter you can choose the cheeses you want otherwise you can order a flight and let the friendly staff guide you through.
Cheese, glorious cheese.
The cheese and wine flight is always a good choice. You get a selection of four wines with cheeses to match. They start off light and end with richer bolder flavours. If you’re not a fan of wine, they also have other flights paired with cheese like whisky, cider, beer, gin, sake etc.
Whoever invented cheese fondue was a legend. I mean, cheese melting in a pot over fire with crusty pieces of bread to dip in. Genius. This was delicious.
The only thing better than Camembert is baked camembert with garlic, herbs and a splash of white wine. It was served with a crusty baguette and it was magical.
The mac and cheese was delish, it wasn’t too creamy and the macaroni still had bite which was great because I hate when it’s all mushy.
We decided to get the meat board to break up all of the cheesiness.
Even with your coffee you get a little twirl of sweet caramel cheese to match.
