OMI have opened up a store in Eastland so you can pop by after your shopping adventures and chow down on some tasty Japanese food. They have lots of different options so you can customise the bowls with the sauces and proteins that you like best.
The signature wagyu has thinly sliced beef on top of a bed of rice with edamame, pickled ginger and an onsen egg which is a slow cooked egg that has a delicate texture and perfect runny yolk.
We had the salmon with Teriyaki sauce which is a great combo. It flaked apart beautifully and was served in a bowl with a bed of rice, edamame, ginger and an onsen egg.
If you prefer noodles you can opt for the udon bowl which has udon noodle soup and an onsen egg and you can choose which protein to go with it. We had the karaage chicken with sriracha mayo which is always a favourite because who doesn’t love fried chicken.
We also got the salted egg fried fish which was nice and crispy on the outside and juicy and soft in the middle. The salted egg sauce added a nice flavour to the fish.
Can’t leave without trying the wasabi mayo fries. They add a good whack of wasabi in the mayo but the creaminess helps the burn subside.
I heart OMI!
