We had been to Oriental Spoon before but we didn’t know they had story two (upstairs) which is where all the Korean BBQ happens. We were delighted to find this out and promptly ordered the wagyu set. The food and service was on point and we basically had to roll ourselves out of there by the end of it.
All of the condiments came out first. There was pork kim chi soup, cheesy corn, pickled onion, creamy daikon, cabbage slaw, kim chi and sprouts. There was an abundance of food even before the meats came out.
That cheesy corn though.
Our lovely waiter heated up the charcoals and began to cook the meat on the grill in front of us. The wagyu was cooked to perfection. We had the wagyu set which was wagyu scotch fillet, high marbled wagyu, wagyu thin skirt and ox tongue which was replaced with a beautiful oyster blade (special of the day).
The beef was quality and melted in your mouth.
We also tried the Korean fried chicken. It was a combination of spicy and original with sweet potato crisps on top. These were crunchy, succulent and flavourful.
We ended on Japchae which is a noodle dish and we opted for the mushroom one which was stir-fried potato glass noodles with vegetables in bulgogi sauce. It was delish.
I heart Oriental Spoon Story 2!
