Imagine sipping a glass of bubbly, sitting at a beautifully set table outside on the deck overlooking the bay, as the sun gently sets over the horizon. Now if that’s not a romantic setting I don’t know what is. Pier Farm is a gorgeous restaurant in Williamstown and the food and wine selection is just as stunning as the venue.
The tuna carpaccio was thinly sliced yellow fin tuna spread over olive tapenade and confit tomato. It was served with crisp little melba toasts to eat it with. A great start to the night.
Next we had zucchini flowers stuffed with creamy spanner crab sitting on a bed of fluffy cous cous with saffron mayo and squid ink sauce.
The grilled skull island wild caught tiger prawns were gigantic and cooked perfectly. The herbed butter was a perfect complement to the wonderful sweet juicy prawn.
Pacherri parmigiana was a tube of fresh pasta with eggplant, cherry tomato and stracciatella cheese over the top.
We ended on a soft pannacotta with salted orange caramel and almond streusel. The texture of the pannacotta was beautiful, it was super soft and just held its shape. It had a real homemade texture. The salted orange caramel gave the sauce a citrusy sweet flavour and the butter crumble was a lovely crunch element.
You can visit during the day for brunch or have a romantic dinner date with the company of the sunset on a warm balmy night. They also do functions so if you’ve got a special event coming up put this on the list.
I heart Pier Farm!
