Walking into a gorgeous industrial style warehouse and eating amongst the greenery is the perfect setting for brunch. The food is delicious and the beverages we had were playful. We were feeling the good vibes with their efforts to source ethical products where possible and support sustainable food projects.
The iced coffee sphere was a big ball of frozen coffee and you pour the warm milk over the top. The sphere slowly dissolves which is fun and the taste of the coffee was amazing too.
The hot chocolate was fun too with a piece of chocolate sitting over the top of the mug that melted as you poured the hot milk in. These theatrics bring me lots of joy especially when they taste good too.
We had the truffle and hash scramble and it was delicious. It was fluffy scrambled eggs spiked with white truffle, mushrooms, crumbly feta, pickled red cabbage and mayo drizzled over a crisp deep-fried hash brown. We added halloumi on the side which is always a good idea. The balance of freshness and indulgence was on point.
The giant pork sandwich was like a pork katsu burger cut in half. It was a big piece of juicy crumbed pork, apple slaw, bbq sauce and pickled cabbage. The pork was tender and the sweet elements really complimented the pork, again an excellent balance of flavours.
For something sweet we had the chocolate loaded taiyaki waffles. How could we not. They were chocolate stuffed waffles, with a decadent chocolate sponge, choc yuzu syrup, honeycomb, choc ice cream and choc nut soil with baby mint leaves. A chocolate lovers dream. On top of that they donate $1 per dish to sustainable food projects.
