S.P.Q.R pizzeria is a great place to get some some good wood-fired sourdough pizza in the city. They use quality Italian ingredients and have soft fluffy dough which makes for some fine pizza. Good vibes and great pizza, what more could you want.
Vino in a not so traditional wine glass.
The garlic bread is a good idea. I know you’re about to eat a pizza and the garlic bread is kinda like pizza too but it’s so so good. The soft fluffy dough with garlic and herbs is a must. It gets you excited for your pizza.
The antipasto was tasty with a selection of meats, cheeses, olives and pickles.
I love a good Margarita pizza and at S.P.Q.R they do it well. The thing about a margarita is that it’s pretty simple so you’ve gotta get all the elements right. The dough was soft and fluffy and had those crispy charred woodfired bubbles, the sauce was flavourful, the basil was fresh and the buffalo mozzarella was creamy. Loved it.
The tarfufo is a good one too. It was truffle paste, thinly sliced potato, rosemary and mozzarella di bufula. This flavour combo was amazing and that soft pizza dough carried it well.
Quality pizza in the CBD.
I heart S.P.Q.R Pizzeria!
