When it comes to brunch, Tall Timber have so many good options. I always feel like I’m being somewhat healthy when I eat there because they use quality ingredients are have lots of mouth-watering veggie inspired dishes. The food is delish, the coffee is delish, it’s just a good time all around.

The coffee oh the coffee, they do it well.

The smashed pumpkin was moreish and flavourful with fresh cherry tomatoes, pops of sweetness from the pomegranate and creamy marinated feta on top. It was served on five grain toast with a poached egg and a smear of spiced tandoori hummus which went really well with the pumpkin.

The shakshuka had two eggs gently poached in a tomato-based sauce with onion, eggplant, red capsicum and spices. It came with thick warm toasted Turkish bread which was light and crusty, the perfect accompaniment to mop up all of that delicious sauce. The side of fried chorizo just made this dish even more tasty.

I love the eggs benedict at Tall Timber. It has a stack of melt-in your-mouth smoked ham hock, shredded apple and perfectly poached eggs topped with apple cider hollandaise on a slice of sourdough bread. I think these days the dish is presented a little differently to my picture from so long ago but I’m sure it still tastes stellar.

The salmon gravlax is cured beautifully and has a wonderful flavour. It’s sliced thinly and served with poached eggs, big crispy croutons, beetroot relish & dill and caper dressing. The flavour has a combination of oiliness and earthiness that gives it a good balance of flavour.
I heart Tall Timber!
