Tamper food and coffee is a brunch spot in Prahran with all the things you want for brunch. They’ve got smashed avo, eggs benny, hash, fritters and sweet sweet waffles. A good local brunch place with all your faves on the menu.
We had a lovely iced latte and matcha latte to start.
The pumpkin fritters were quenelled and deep-fried. They were crunchy and the pea and mint puree was super smooth and added some freshness. It had some goats feta, poached eggs and we added a cheeky side of cured salmon.
The big breakfast was a stack of deliciousness. It was a large king brown mushroom with grilled halloumi, charred asparagus, roast red pepper chutney, a fried egg, chorizo and a huge hash pattie (would be a great hangover cure).
The waffle ice cream sandwich was my favourite. When it came out it looked like a lot but they say you have a seperate stomach for dessert and on this day that proved true. The black sesame ice-cream was sandwiched between two Belgium waffle and was served with fresh mango, strawberry puree, crushed Oreo and peanut praline. Loved it.
