The Fitz is a two-story restaurant where you can get brunch, a tasty pub meal or catch up with friends for some drinks and tapas.
The smash and grab was a great dish. It was the classic smashed avo on toast with the addition of Danish feta, crisp sugar snap peas and a trail of dukkah which made it stand out. The poachies were cooked well with perfect runny yolks. It was flavourful and fresh, loved this dish.
The Coopers burger was really tasty too. A charcoal bun with Coopers braised brisket, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese and crunchy onion rings with chipotle mustard and pale ale BBQ. It had bags of flavour and came with some thick cut chips on the side and a pot of coopers to wash it down. A satisfying combo.
The pancakes were pretty, they were a stack of three covered in a passionfruit coulis with mascarpone and bits of meringue, topped with pink fairy floss.
I heart The Fitz!
