After-work drinks or mid-day celebrations in Hawthorn East just got a whole lot better with the opening of Young’s wine rooms. It’s a gorgeous space with high ceiling, brick rendered walls and an open outside area out the back. They have delicious little foods to munch on while your sipping on some bangin’ cocktails and top-quality wine.
They have a range of quality wines, cocktails and beverages in general. It’s a great place to sit down and have a drink with some nibbles.
The wagyu beef tartare was delicious, the meat was cut super fine and had a lovely peppery flavour.
The croquettes were magical with a creamy, smooth, cheesy manchengo béchamel-like sauce inside and a crunchy panko outside. Divine.
They serve cheese boards and charcuterie to accompany your beverages. Freshly sliced jamon iberico, yes please.
The little breads with charred tomato, purple basil and creamy ricotta with lemon verbena were a perfect marriage of flavours.
A great place for all cellarbrations (typo intended). Bottoms up!
